Persuasion is at the heart of attorney success. In this program, lawyers learn and practice a simple, yet effective model of persuasion and conflict resolution that leaves them better suited to improve results for clients and themselves.

The Lawyer Under Stress

This program is for lawyers who desire to increase clarity and work more effectively under stress. Stress can be positive and motivating if the mind remains coherent. Lawyers see the effects of time-pressure and anxiety on their brain-chemistry and well-being via a computer program and bio-feedback technology, and learn simple, effective strategies to maintain coherence and optimal performance. Discover how to improve health and quality of life, benefit from more productive relationships, and deliver better results.

The Influential Lawyer

(Approved for CLE credit in states with elimination of bias requirements including: OR, WA, MN & CA) In this course, lawyers explore the basis of perception and the effects of perception and bias on influence and success. Lawyers learn an effective influence model that focuses on getting more needs met, and thereby improving results for clients.

From Conflict to Influence

Many attorneys perceive conflicting “needs” as the basis for conflict, yet most of the time it is conflicting “strategies” that lead to and exacerbate conflict. Acrimony often occurs because of narrow perspectives that see particular strategies as the only way to meet needs. In this course, lawyers learn to distinguish needs from strategies, develop influence, and build relationships by creatively discovering better strategies to get more needs met.

The Art of the Rainmaker

Whereas most lawyers seem to like to talk about themselves, those who are effective in client development keep the focus on others. This course emphasizes the basics of other-person focused communication and client-development for all lawyers, from the sole-practitioner to the large firm.
